Legend of ZUN 2.5: The Last Great War (Episode 3)

{Author's Note: This takes place after Legend of ZUN 2 and it is highly recommended that you play it before reading this to better understand the material and any possible spoiler from any 1 of the two games.}

Episode 3: Doomsday

The war closes in on its fourth year and onto its fifth year. The raging tank wars between the kappa made Master Spark tanks and the electric Tesla Gaster Blaster tanks. Territory in the Pacific shrank and grew constantly, every time the America fought forward, they were counter attacked and vice versa. Yukari Yakumo began to have other plans, as she believed the war was nearing its end and one of those plans has to do with ZUN and his disposable job.

******

"What do you mean? We almost got Hawaii twice! Why are telling us that we should be on the defensive?" Said General Reimu Hakurei to Yukari on the phone.
"I have a strong feeling Reimu, a feeling that the war might be ending soon."
"Ending? But we haven't even reached the damn mainland!" Complained Reimu.
"Reimu, just stay defensive and everything will play out."
"I hope your right, you old hag."
Reimu hanged up. The war in the Pacific between Gensokyo and America has never really gone anywhere since the battle of Midway. The RUA forces have largely left to fight a just as stagnant war in Europe fighting the Germans and the Russians. Well, the same could be said for Japan, as they too have to focus on fighting the Russians over China and they weren't going to help the youkai anytime soon, despite the alliance.
"Where's Jun'ya?" Asked Yukari.
"The last I heard, he's at Eientei."
"Thank you Ran. I need to tell to start publishing stories about some 'victories' that we made."

******

Asgore Dreemurr was depressed, even ever since he stopped collecting souls for the barrier. He mostly overcame that back then, but then the colony incident. He wanted to expand the kingdom to move more monsters from out of the Underground. But nations like South Africa, India, England, France, and even Belgium and the Congo, told him with the utmost anger that what he was doing was wrong. Even if he pulled the excuse that he was only doing it for the benefit for the monsters. On top of that, the corruption brought on by foreign corporations and the two separate Islamic terrorist attacks in Hotland and New Home respectively. He had no choice but to abdicate. Of course democratization would mean the people could better benefit themselves better than he ever could by himself. He helped out people and that made him feel good about himself. So he thought that by preventing a world war, he could redeem himself, now that is not the case. His depression had returned. The Third World War looked like it would never end. His family was still broken and Toriel still doesn't talk to him that much even after since the barrier fell. He walked around solemnly. He opened a drawer in his office.
"Heh, the humans use these to fight each other with now. Not with swords or spears, just these."
He looked down at the Luger he had. Of course he still owned his trident and even a scythe and still knew magic but...these are how things are done now.
He loaded the pistol and placed it in his mouth. He felt his teeth clench on the metal barrel. He pulled the trigger and everything went dark.

******

Toriel was taken aghast, "Why did he do that?" She queried.
"Don't know. But his neighbors said he hadn't come out of house in months. Luckily one of the neighbors called about a gunshot from his house." Said the Policeman on the telephone.
There was a knock on the door. "I gotta go." Toriel hanged up.
"Hi mom." greeted Frisk.
"Oh um, Frisk. Can I tell you something."
"Sure." Frisk walked into the house.
Toriel began, "So, remember Asgore."
"Yes, very well. Why?"
"He just committed suicide."
Silence filled the room, until Frisk muttered something uner his breath "ZUN...".
"What?" Toriel asked.
"I gotta go, I have something to take care of, it nice meeting you. Sorry about Asgore thought." Frisk left.

******

Aya was tending to one of the large printing machines. When ZUN called out.
"Yukari just phoned in, victory in Hawaii apparently."
"Oh really?!" Replied Aya.
"No land's been taken but America is leaving the island chain."
"I can't believe it."
What the two didn't know was that Yukari had fabricated the whole Hawaii. In fact a stalemate battle happened just outside of Midway and it leaned sightly in favor of the US.
"Something isn't right." Said Jun'ya.
"What's the matter?" Asked Aya.
"It's just seems like our journalistic integrity is at Yukari's whim. We're just playthings in her larger scheme. I'm not even sure that this battle even happened."
"But we must keep the public's confidence in mind, huh." Aya said.
"Right."
The two then proceeded to make the newspaper issue anyway, despite its questionability.

******

Frisk entered the airport. He got his ticket and walked toward the terminal. Just as he was making it to the security checkpoint, someone yelled "Nihon to gensō gō no eikō no tame ni!".
A loud bang was heard and Frisk lost consciousness. He woke several hours later in a hospital. "Where the hell I'm I?" Frisk asked.
"You have been hospitalized from a terrorist attack. Your fine, but you'll need some plastic surgery. Your face had some nasty burns. We've grafted your skin, some features are a bit off from the blast." Said the doctor.
Frisk got up from his bed and walked to the bathroom, he took off the mask and behind was his face, only...words can't possibly describe its description. Frisk put the mask back on.
"Until you get surgery. I recommend you keep the mask on." The doctor said.
"It would a day or two for you to leave." The Doctor continued.

******

"Are you sure you want to do this? I mean the world much more different than it was back in 1945, everyone has nukes now." Said Bill.
"Yes, but think of this as a peace bomb." Hillary explained.
"You'll regret that decision, nuking Japan like that."
"But Asgore wanted this to end."
"But not like this!" Bill cried out.
Hillary paused, reflecting on if either to do what her husband said or continue anyway. Her husband did cheat on her way back when, so she left the room towards the oval office, to where she get the codes. Sooner or later, this war will end.

******

It was a fortnight since Frisk had left the hospital, his plastic surgery would be scheduled for next week. He had taken up urban exploration and was exploring an old bunker, it was well kept and was surprised that the electricity still worked when he reached the breaker box in the maintenance room. He was kept company with and old MTT brand FM/AM/Satelite radio, the AM/FM still worked this deep Underground. The radio crackled on, "President Hillary today has announced her plans to end the war. She didn't clarify on what would be the plan would be in the form of...More on this later.".
Frisk stopped at a blank cracked white wall, he found a permanent marker and drew a Delta Rune on the wall. He remembered when everybody was still alive, Toriel and Mettaton where still around and kicking, but for how long?

******

Hillary Clinton punched in the launch codes, and twisted the two keys. She ordered no one to enter the room. A touch screen folded out in front of her and she picked the location, Kyoto. She press the button and sirens blared and a synthetic voice said "Nuclear launch activated, missles inbound to target.". After the ruckus from the machine stopped, she left the room. She stood in front of her cabinet and generals and announced "The war is over!".
Everyone clapped and cheered for her actions, unbeknownst to them that she had launched a several megaton nuclear warhead to Kyoto, Japan.
Russia had detected a nuclear strike aimed at their ally. So they launched a nuke at America. Then a beleaguered China shot their nukes at Russia as retaliation. Then Iran launched their nukes out to everyone they considered an enemy. Britain and India had no choice but to send out their nukes as well. Within a half hour nukes whizzed throughout the world. Hillary Clinton was short sighted in seeing that she had just ended the known world.

******

Toriel was tending to things at her school, she was preparing things for the following week, it was a Saturday. Secretly, she was still shocked about Asgore killing himself. But a bright flash appeared. She put her arm in front of her eyes as the flash darkened. A shock wave blasted the windows a minute passed and she felt something warm...no...warmer...wait...hot..like very hot, like Hotland hot, this quickly turned to a burning feeling on her skin. Her fur began to burn up as the incredible heat became even hotter. She screamed in pain as her clothes were rapidly burning, the whole school was on fire. Then another shock wave came and killed her instantly as the wall where the windows once were, blew apart and her skin and flesh as well. She quickly became monster dust as the rest of the school was blown to pieces. The radiation was setting in and around the blast zone.
Mettaton was entertaining some troops in a French village a few miles away from the Ruhr. A RUA soldier bursted in screaming "The angel of death has come for us!!!". Everyone panicked and rushed out. Mettaton rolled outside and witnessed a mushroom cloud not too far off. A blast of hot air rushed in front of him. Mettaton made haste for an old deep tunnel that connected the tavern to an old chateau. His regular form's defense was enough to repel some of the heat, but the radiation would mess up with how his body worked. On top of that his body couldn't stand with the extreme heat. Mettaton came halfway through the tunnel before ends collapsed leaving him stuck. He went into a low power mode, waiting for anyone to rescue him...anyone.
Papyrus went to check on Sans, ever since he narrowly escaped the Gaster Blaster tank explosion. Sans wasn't himself anymore, after all, he gave away his strongest attack so that this war could be better fought. Papyrus enter his room, before he comfort him, the house exploded into flames and with a bang both him and Sans blacked out...they were killed by a nuclear blast that was only a city away.

******

"This is the Emergency Alert System, nuclear weapons have been detonated in United States territory. This is not a test!" Frisk promptly turned off the old radio.
"That explains the banging up there." he said to himself.
The electricity was cutting in and out, as the bunker creaked and moaned. Frisk tried to turn his radio back on, static. He sat down, everyone he knows is pretty much dead as far as he knew. He was angry, angry at ZUN. Without him and Gensokyo, all his friends wouldn't have died. Frisk looked up at the ceiling, he reflected on his years as a child. Now he was self inflicted with a vendetta. Frisk was filled with determination.

******

The war was over and Yukari arrived at the Bunbunmaru Newspaper building. "So are you going to give me my newspaper back?" Asked Aya.
"I need you to run some more stories, that I'll explain later." Yukari said to her.
"No! I can't do this anymore, I can't sacrifice our integrity so you can sway the people all like that. That Hawaii battle was a total sham!" Jun'ya cried out.
"That may indeed be the case. But the war is over. We still have to deal with a postwar outside world, we have colonies to rebuild, land to assess." Yukari replied.
"But...But what about the humans that are still out there."
"Jun'ya Ota, I relieve you of your duty. Ran."
"Yes, Yukari-sama." Answered Ran.
Ran placed a damp cloth over Jun'ya's face. Within minutes he collapsed in a drugged sleep.
"What the hell Yukari?!" Yelled Aya.
"Ran, put him in cryogenic storage. He is of no use to us...anymore." Yukari commanded.

Legend of ZUN 2.5: The Last Great War (Episode 2)

{Author's Note: This takes place after Legend of ZUN 2 and it is highly recommended that you play it before reading this to better understand the material and any possible spoiler from any 1 of the two games.}

Episode 2: Mid-war

The war has lasted two years now. The Germans were repelled from France, but the Gensokyoian Master Spark tanks arrived and a stalemate occurred on the Ruhr and in Belgium. The Youkai of Gensokyo, while quickly dominated the Pacific met stalwart defenses in the Hawaii invasion. The Third World War is reaching a point of stagnation on either side.

******

Sinclair Research's business boomed with the Smart Mask, a gas mask equipped with an emergency respirator and a cell phone. The factory supplying Gensokyo with vehicles was nationalized by Yukari Yakumo and was converted to produce war machines. But Sir Clive only want what was best for the public. So he, Harold Archeia and his robot assistant, Hapsby, started making civil defense pieces including the aforementioned innovation with the gas mask. But Sir Clive still wanted to make stuff having to do with personal transport. But shortages mean't it had to be saved for a peacetime that would never come.
"Do you think the war might end?" Asked Harold.
"I don't want to give my hopes up, the last one lasted for a good five or so years. I really don't want to discuss this." Replied Sir Clive Sinclair.
"My calculations state that the chance this war ends in three years is 13.2%." Hapsby chimed in.
"We can only hope." Said Sir Clive.
The three continued to work in the workshop, designing and prototyping. Then Sir Clive remembered someone.
"Does anyone remember ZUN?" He asked.
"Yeah...I hope he's okay." Said Harold.

******

"You baka!" Yelled Yukari.
"You can't just publish doubt. We need everyone to remain confident in this war!"
"But the Americans are holding out strong! If we're going to break their defenses we need more sea power. Danmaku alone isn't going to break through that damn island chain!" Explained Jun'ya.
The Hawaii invasion was a wash. While the American jets were useless against the barrage of projectile magic. The land troops had buffered the beaches with palisade walls and electrified barbed wire. The missile cruisers and destroyers also kept any chance of a successful capture useless. Plus Gensokyo doesn't have any access to open ocean and Japan was keeping its efforts in capturing the mainland, so the Japanese navy was focused on attacking coastal cities.
"You and Aya are going to publish an article and it better say something that will keep the humans and youkai feeling good about this." Demanded Yukari.
Yukari exited into a gap. Leaving a threatened ZUN behind. "What's with all the yelling?" Said a confused Aya.
"It's nothing, we just to make the public like this war even more."
"I have a bad feeling about this." Said Aya.
"Me too, so much for freedom of press."
The two stared at each other for seemed like forever. ZUN had a feeling that this war might strain his relationship with Yukari. Deep down he wished he never left Japan and got captured by Jack Tramiel or met Sir Clive Sinclair. He felt all this change happen because of all this.

******

Frisk walked alone in the streets of Boston. Seeing the American warships docked in the harbor. He arranged for the double funeral of Alphys and Undyne. One died fighting the Gensokyoian Axis and the other of the great American lynch mob. Frisk felt depressed, of course both were pretty old, Frisk only knowing both of them when was eight or nine, he could never quite remember anymore. He and Bushnell talked about the war and the deaths of his long time friends. He thought about running for president of the Republic of the Underground. But that would make him feel nostalgically sad, seeing everyone under and around Mt. Ebott would only yearn for something to fill the void. Frisk remembered ZUN from several years ago. "That man probably works for the enemy now." he thought to himself.
"A man like him should never the cause of those deaths." he continue thinking.
This made him angry, almost ZUN himself was responsible for everything. He remembered when the former king of the Underground appealed for peace in the last UN assembly.
A sort of determination flowed in him. It was like if he ever came across any youkai, he would fight them instead of appealing for their mercy like he had to the monsters as a child.
His phone rang. Frisk picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Yes, I'm Elon Musk, you know anything about this friend of yours, Sans?" Said the voice.
"Yes, I know him. Why?"
"You see, I was designing an electric tank that would win us the war you know. So I heard about the Master Spark tanks. So I called your buddy up, since he knew about this thing called a 'Gaster Blaster'. Anyway, I called to inform you that we assumed he has died, while we tested the new tank. It exploded and the roof collapsed on it. We're not sure-" Frisk hanged up.
He walked into a nearby bar, he ordered the strongest drink they had. A man said "Hey, aren't you that man who held a funeral for that anime lover?". Frisk nodded. A bar fight ensued.
It almost felt like he had deserved it. But his determination against ZUN kept boiling. The police were called in. Frisk got off Scot-free because of his diplomat status. So went to the airport, to catch next flight home. Not his personal residence, but his home home, where he lived right after the fall of the barrier.

******

They never did find Sans' body in the wreckage. But Elon decided to declare him dead anyway. The Tesla Gaster was deployed in Europe. The Armored Gaster Blaster turret produced a thicker and more powerful laser beam than the Master Spark, defeating the Gensokyoian tank force in western France and in Belgium. But the Gaster Blasters drained on the tank's electric powertrain so the tank often needed to recharge. ZUN and Aya had to make the best of the defeat and stated that Kappas where working on better war machines. While they had o fabricate that, it suited Yukari's needs to keep the public conscious on keeping the war going. They also chose to run a story about the Underground destruction of the colony and wrote so it could agitate the public into being more war fervent. But this only left Jun'ya and Aya feeling like this was against what they believed in. Even though Bunbunmaru subscriptions were through the roof.

*******

"Ah, so you must be Mr. Dreemurr." greeted President Hillary.
"Yes, nice to meet you Mrs. Clinton. I need to talk to you about if there's ever going to be any peace anytime soon." Asked Asgore.
After a failed colonization attempt that was scorned severely by the other nations of world and a few other controversies, Asgore abdicated and the Underground was democratized, becoming the Republic of the Underground.
"It doesn't seem that way anytime soon. Our troops are doing the best they can and the Axis won't listen to us." Hillary said.
"Hmmmm..."
"What's with that look?"
"It's nothing. It's just this war caused the deaths of my old royal scientist and the former head of my Royal Guard." Asgore replied.
"That really is troubling, having two of your own old cronies getting killed for sake of fighting."
"If there was a way to end this war quickly." said Asgore, he got up and left.
Hillary Clinton watched him close the door and then proceeded to open a drawer.
"If history is truly repeatable, then maybe we will have peace soon." she thought to herself.
The drawer contained small strips of paper, containing nothing more or nothing less than nuclear launch codes.

******

 "Yukari-sama?" Asked Ran.
"Ran?" Replied Yukari
"Why do you abuse Mr. Ota so much?" Ran questioned.
"I just need to keep him in line. Besides, he's only Minister of Media and Propaganda."
"What do you mean by that?"
"You see. He's only temporary. I have a strong feeling this war will end soon. His part would be complete. Jun'ya is only temporary." Yukari answered.
Ran was about to answer a question. But she stood down, Yukari had plans for ZUN past the war's end. But she had doubt to whether this is good or bad for him. Either way, Yukari was the sole leader of Gensokyo. Ran didn't know if questioning her decisions or her power, hell even the plans for Jun'ya, would lead Yukari to distrust her, even if she was her shikigami.

Legend of ZUN 2.5: The Last Great War (Episode 1)

{Author's Note: This takes place after Legend of ZUN 2 and it is highly recommended that you play it before reading this to better understand the material and any possible spoiler from any 1 of the two games.}

Episode 1: It begins

ZUN arrived at the Yakumo household. He walked in and saw maps of the outside world plastered over the walls and a geographical world map on the kotatsu, adorned with colored block and areas labeled in kanji. "Yukari!" yelled Jun'ya.
Yukari came out of the other room. "Ah, so you've come to take the Media and Propaganda ministry position?" Yukari said.
"Yes." replied Jun'ya.
"Alright, I've recalled Chen from her position as the governor of the Youkai House colony and Ran just sent out the draft. Your mission is to seize the Bunbunmaru Newspaper." Yukari briefed.
"Okay, I'll go do that then." Jun'ya left the house for Youkai Mountain.

As Jun'ya walked out and towards the mountain, he looked around at how different things have become. Many of the trees have war posters on them. There was more humans walking about ans some seem to be driving about in Sinclair C5s. Of course the factories that produce them now have be retooled for war machinery to prepare Gensokyo's allies for the war. It took him a while to reach the mountain. He pounded on the door of the publishing office. Aya Shameimaru opened the door, "Jun'ya? What made you come here."
"By order of Yukari Yakumo, the Bunbunmaru Newspaper will be until further notice, nationalized."
"Oh, that. I can't really complain, not because of this act of imminent domain, but also all the news material I'll get from this war." Aya said.
"Good to hear that. Speaking of which, I heard Yukari is going to address troops before the Pacific campaign." ZUN mentioned.

* * * * * *

Reimu Hakurei had been made a general and Marisa Kirisame had to have her mini-hakkero reversed engineered so that tanks, capable of creating a master spark could be made. The Japanese government would handle the Asian land invasion with Russia, while Gensokyo would go on a pacific island hop. The Republic of the Underground didn't have a navy or an air force, But they would put monster ground troops to safeguard the islands. The youkai quickly took over the small dwindling islands. The first major battle happened on the midway islands.

American jet planes were scouting the area when a master spark cut through the air and sliced a jet in two and exploded another. The fifth fairy brigade took to the air shot danmaku using specially made spell cards. More planes were ordered but the danmaku was hard to dodge and it got sucked into the engines which stalled the planes. Without the use of firearms or warheads,  twenty airplanes fell from the sky. The RUA troops stormed the island but the ground youkai fought hard against the monsters, reducing them to dust almost on contact. Unlike the Royal Guard of the King Dreemurr days, the RUA was equipped with more modern automatic firearms, abandoning the spears and swords. But still the danmaku was made purposely AGAINST the spell card rules so they could be more able to kill someone, Monster after monster fell, proving the allied counter advance useless. The US chose instead of chucking airplanes into a airborne meat grinder. A missile cruiser was called in. But it didn't take long for General Hakurei to board it, a hoard of militant loli's approached the ship, the danmaku had pretty much clogged up the sky. The Americans couldn't get a visual on the Gensokyo youkai, until they got boarded of course. Some tengus went down to find the engines, while Reimu and some fairies went up to take control of the ship. Within a quarter of an hour the captain was captured and the engines were set to be destroyed, the Gensokyoians left with the captain and the cruiser's stern was blown asunder. Within minutes it succumbed to the waves.

"Did you get that all on camera?" Aya asked ZUN, as the danmaku began to dissipate.
"Yes, that battle was incredible. Can't wait to report back to Yukari about this."
Jun'ya and Aya was filming the entire battle, the film would be sent around the world as news of their victory. Hawaii was now a stone throw away for the Gensokyo youkai.

******

The United Nations building was empty, the assembly has been temporarily disbanded for the war. Frisk was all alone, a 50+ year old human wondering the hall. When he received a call. Frisk answered. "Hello?"
"Hi, um, this is Nolan."
"Oh. I'm guessing you saw the news."
"Yeah, that cruiser went down no problem. I tried to call ZUN, but he never answers his calls anymore. I think that man just went up and disappeared."
"Huh, did you heard anything from the European front?" asked Frisk.
"Why?"
"Dunno, I have an old friend joining the RUA."

What Frisk mentioned was that his old friend, Undyne, had decided to go back into military service. She was trained to use guns but she often preferred using her trademark spear(s). Germany had allied with Russia, Japan, and Gensokyo. Undyne had been sent to fight in the French trenches.

******

"Alright lads, Germans machine gun fire ahead, we can't bugger out until 'e's killed." said a British commander.
Undyne had her armor updated to better repel gunfire. She was given a stock M4A1 imported from American surpluses. But she almost always preferred spears and the occasional magic. Once she chucked a spear into a Leopard 2 and jammed the turret and there was another occasion where she took out a German and a Russian troop with the same spear. While she enjoyed the fighting and the nostalgic feeling of being in any type of military organization, she worried about Alphys' safety at home in America. The xenophobia had gotten so bad, that anime conventions had to be held in secret so that no one would either be lynched or be arrested as Japanese terrorists.

She summoned a spear, she crept up the edge and took out a German who was climbing out of his trench. "Got one of those German humans again!" cried Undyne.
"Good work lass." replied the commander.
Everyone was preparing to jump the trench, once the machine gunner was taken out of course. The commander was halfway explaining this when Undyne went ahead and jumped over. "Wait you blasted woman!" said the commander, but it was too late. Undyne reached out for the top ground and threw a spear, it landed right between the machine gunner's eyes. Everybody else jumped up after the enemy machine gun when silent. The German jumped into the oncoming onslaught. Gunfire spray over the no man's land. Undyne jumped into the trench and sent spears flying as she advanced to an artillery cannon that was menacing the nearby towns, as well as the tanks and the jet fighters. Soldier after soldier fell, these human were determined enough to fight, but they didn't put it into themselves, only into the guns they used. She came to the opening were the cannon was, she gave the steel barrel a punch and bent it beyond repair. She then fired the shell that was already in there. Destroying the cannon for good. She radioed her progress in. But then she heard bullets hit the back of her armored suit. She turned around and before she could ready a spear she was shot by five or six Germans. firing at her. Her armor couldn't take it and became weak. Undyne could feel the lead bullets enter her body. She tried to stay alive with determination, But that only shortened her life more, her thoughts went back to her as a child, then her training with Asgore, then with Frisk when he was still a child, and her life with Alphys. Undyne reflected as she slowly drifted away. "Alphys...sorry..." said Undyne before she fell lifeless to the ground and became dust. The British-American troops came in and shot at the Germans, but it was all too late. Undyne was dead. But now the jets and the tanks can come through.
"Oh shit! Undyne's dead." said a soldier pointing out the pile of reinforced metal on the ground.
"Send a message to her wife and headquarters, Undyne was killed in action." said an Officer.

******

Alphys was busy torrenting the latest anime, ever since trade relations with Japan had been cut off, new anime was hard to find. Even the anime that does already exist had really high prices because of the mass DVD burning done by several right wing groups. But then the phone rang. She picked it up, it was the RUA, usually they brought good news. But this time, the Sargent sounded rather...different.
"Umm...Alphys, I'm not sure how to tell you this but. You know what I'm going to say it, Undyne was killed in France destroying an artillery cannon that was harassing our air and armor support, she succeeded in completing that task she set herself with. But she was gunned down by a small group of German soldiers." Said the Sargent.
Alphys dropped the phone in pure shock. She stood silent and still. She didn't know what to do. The very thought of her being gone forever paralyzed her. She picked up the phone from the floor and continued to listen. "We're sending the monster dust over and if you want to have a funeral or not is your decision."
The Sargent hanged up. Alphys had this morbid to know more, she wanted to know more about Undyne's death. She tried to hold in her tears. She cried for a half an hour and then she walked out to head over to he army station to get anymore information about Undyne's death. As she walked out, an American extremist  walked out and shot her twice in the head. "You anime lovin' traitor!" He said after killing her, a minute after the two gunshots police sirens started blaring down the street, Alphys' energy felt like it was draining out of her. She dragged herself across to her car. But the police got to her and began to stablize her. But then one of the officers entered her and the late Undyne's home and saw the vast collection of anime and manga. So that police officer, called her a terrorist and much to the shock of the other officer, shot her seven times, killing Alphys. Alphys gave out a heart-wrenching scream as she passed away. The other officer then proceeded to arrest the officer that shot her. But he shot him and then he went to the radio and said he killed two traitors to the country. Of coarse he got in trouble for shooting another officer but the investigation showed he was very wrong. Needless to say, America has become nothing but a bunch of xenophobes who hate everybody.

******

Jun'ya sat down in his appointed apartment in the Human Village. He looked through his phone. Nolan Bushnell had called him, at least four times. He couldn't just tell him that he's in a high ranking position of Gensokyo government. It was getting late and the first few weeks of war was draining on him. He felt more tired at the end of day then usual, a sort of tired he never got from making games. Jun'ya poured himself a cup of sake and chugged it down. He climbed into bed and thought to himself the events that unfolded in the pacific. Yukari is planing some sort of attack on Hawaii, but the defenses have been upped tremendously. Little did this man know that this war was going to be long one, one that might just be the last one ever.

Legend of ZUN announcement!

So with the success of Legend of ZUN 2, I'm thinking about doing a another sequel to the success of it. But to due to how different the game is going to be compared to the first two games. I'm going to write a series of short stories explaining events between the second and the possible third.

Just to outline what these short stories are, here is the good ending of the Legend of ZUN 2 [SPOILER WARNING]: According to a Kitsune News broadcast, diplomatic breakdown has occurred at the UN between Gensokyo and the Republic of the Underground leading to the nations of the world to take sides as they prepare and ultimately mobilize their armies for a third world war. Jun'ya "ZUN" Ota receives a call from Yukari Yakumo (She had recently created a centralized government for Gensokyo) who asks him to be in the position of Minister of Media and Propaganda. ZUN accepts and the game leaves off on a ominous cliffhanger.

These short stories will be released sooner or later.
